Our region is full of magnificent sites rich in history, and for sports enthusiasts there are many possibilities:
- The D-Day landing beaches: Sword Beach, Juno Beach, Gold Beach, Omaha Beach, Utah BeachMont Saint Michel, a unique heritage site
- The Anglo-Saxon islands of Jersey and Guernsey, accessible from a number of sites.
- Sainte Mère église, a historic parachute drop exhibited at the Airbone Museum
- The island of Tatihou with the Vauban tower (listed by UNESCO)
- Granville with this year's Olympic torch relay on 31 May
- The GR223, a trail some 400km long, passes along our beautiful Normandy coast.
- The Nez de Jobourg offers an exceptional viewpoint (rich in impressive ornithological fauna).
